FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What kind of car should I bring?  Does it have to be a sports car?

We will instruct you in any road-legal car.  If you don't want to use your own car then we have cars available at the circuit for you to drive.  Your car does not need to be fast for us to instruct you in safe driving at speed.  There is a nominal charge for using our cars.

Do I need extra insurance for my car to go on track?

Yes - we recommend that you cover your car for on-track driving, and we have a 10% Club discount in place with our partner Competition Car Insurance for this service.

Do I drive or does the Instructor drive?

Our instructors will drive you around the circuit so that you become familiar with driving on track and what it feels like.  Then they will sit alongside you and talk you all around the circuit, telling you where to brake, where to accelerate, and how to drive through the corners.

I have never driven at a circuit before- will I be terrible at it?

Our girls are very experienced in instructing complete novices, and no question about handling or driving is too silly to ask!  Everyone has to have a first time on track, and we are very aware how nervous some guests can feel.  Be totally reassured that we will never ask you to drive in a way that is unsafe, or makes you feel unsafe.

What will I learn?

Our aim is that you go home feeling that you have learnt a great deal about driving safely, no longer intimidated by the power of your road car.   Or that you find out about what your 4 x 4 is capable of and how to drive it safely off-road.
